CTLA
The Associate Director of the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Assessment (Vanessa Preast; preastva@grinnell.edu) is available to work with individuals and departments on assessment-related issues. Working with an assessment professional early in the project can help you to design a stronger assessment and may save you time and effort in the long run. An assessment professional can help ensure that your goals, desired activities and assessments are well aligned and are likely to result in the best data for the least amount of effort.
Prior to the meeting, send relevant documentation, evidence, and evidence-collection tools. Be prepared to discuss what you would see if you achieved your goal, why this goal is important to you, and how you hope to achieve your desired outcomes.
You will discuss your goals and your preferences. Together, you will identify how your goals, your anticipated intervention, and your assessments align.
